CHHS THEATRE BOOSTERS MINUTES

SEPTEMBER 4, 2007

            President Kent Meier called the meeting to order at 7:10 pm.

            Present: see page 2 for list of parents and students attending.

            Also Present: Mrs. Pam Koepf, Ms. Jami Martin

Denise Light moved to approve the minutes; Bonnie Keenan seconded. Also approved in this motion: As per the Theatre Booster By-Laws, appointment by President Kent Meier of Cecilia Monacelli as Treasurer due to the resignation of Cheryl Spence. Motion carried. 

Cindy Martinez moved to approve the Treasurer’s Report and Budget for 2007-2008; Mic Deakin seconded. Motion carried.

Mrs. Koepf and Ms. Martin were introduced and Mrs. Koepf gave information for each parent (Bios, Theatre Calendar, NYC Spring Break trip fact sheet, Theatre Wish list, Show/Audition Info on The Crucible, Bye Bye Birdie and Winter Wonderland.)

Kent presented the following information to parents:

• There are various Committees that need to be filled. List was circulated for parent signup. See chhspanthertheater.org website for list.
• Booster membership forms
• Corporate sponsorships
• Banquet facility to be secured soon. Banquet is May 17^th.
• 501©(3) status—update soon
• OK! DVD Sales: there are still several OKLAHOMA! DVD’s available for purchase ($6 each) See Susan Taylor for purchase. The following DVD’s were sold and delivered this night: Michelle Gillaspie-$6 cash; Cheryl Spence-$6 (Ck #2729); Laura Dearing-$6 cash; Cecilia Monacelli-$12 cash.

Caitlin Taylor, President of International Thespian Society (ITS) and Oral Interpretation announced the "New Faces" party for new ITS prospective members. Party is Sept. 9th at Colleen Casey’s home. More details for Students at the ITS meeting Wed. Sept. 5th immediately after school. Also, Nov 8th is Theatre Night @ Red Brick Pizza (in Town Center between McAlister’s and Costa Vida) 10% of proceeds will be donated to ITS. Also the Grapevine Classic Debate/Speech Tournament (Sept. 7-8) is the first of the season and they are ready to compete!

Action Taken: Kay Lester moved to approve the purchase of a Full page ITS Senior Yearbook ad and a ½ page senior yearbook ad for the Oral Interpretation Team. Cheryl Spence seconded. Payment due by Sept 7^th; Kent will deliver the check to Andrea Cook, yearbook sponsor. Motion carried.

Kent announced that Booster Meetings are the first Tuesday of the month. Next Booster Meeting is October 2^nd.

Cindy Martinez made the motion to adjourn, Mary Corey seconded. Meeting was adjourned at 8:15.
